Okay guys! Rant time!
So I’m sure there are some awesome people in One Million Moms that are nice and amazing and just all around okay people because I know a lot of Conservatives and people against homosexuality that are. I’m also sure not all of them agree with this and I hate having to lump them together. The whole “Marvel Comes Out of the Closet” issue is ridiculous. You’re sitting here talking about how it’s not okay to have a gay person in the comics but completely ignoring the fact that the women are mostly HALF NAKED!!!! WHAT THE CRAP!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS?!
“This is ridiculous! Why do adult gay men need comic superheroes as role models? They want to indoctrinate impressionable young minds by placing these gay characters on pedestals in a positive light. These companies are heavily influencing our youth by using children’s superheroes to desensitise and brainwash them into thinking that a gay lifestyle choice is normal and desirable. As Christians, we know that homosexuality is a sin.”
This entire little paragraph right here ticks me off. Seriously guys, as a Christian and a human being I am like thoroughly p-oed.
- My dad LOVES comics especially the ones he grew up with. He’s like 42. He’s straight but he loves seeing comic book characters he can identify with. He loved the movies Green Lantern, Thor, Iron Man, and the Avengers. I LOVE reading about characters I can identify with in both Manga and books and I’m 16 not 5. e_e Dear lord. I’m sure there are homosexual children out there than can relate to the new Green Lantern.
- Indoctrinate impressionable young minds? Excuse me? I’m sorry but seriously. I don’t think it’s possible for you to change your orientation. I say this because I can’t imagine myself being attracted to someone I’m not nor can I force myself not to be. Hence the reason I only like certain boys and don’t want to date them ALL.
- “Gay lifestyle choice is normal and desirable.” … well if you want to say it’s a sin then yes. Yes it is normal. Sin is normal. Not sinning is not normal. See what I did there? Still not at all mentioning the fact the women are half naked and over-sexualized. Of course that wouldn’t phase you would it though? Being completely okay with that sin. Probably participating early in life or even now.
- Last but not least! “As Christians, we know homosexuality is a sin.” This may make me more upset than all the rest. Why? Because you’re speaking for people you don’t even know. Plus we’re human we can’t know what God wants even if we wanted to. I doubt you’ve even done any research on the background of the Biblical world. Of course if you have then forgive me. I don’t want to be rude and mean. Anyway, my point is I’m a Christian and I don’t think it’s a sin. I’m certainly not going to say I know it’s not, because I don’t know what God’s thinking or what he wants.
So this entire controversy is ridiculous. Yes. Yes it is. I know you don’t think it is but it is.

Please send DC Comics (Warner Bros. Entertainment Company) and Marvel (Disney) an email urging them to change and cancel all plans of homosexual superhero characters immediately. Ask them to do the right thing and reverse their decision to have sexual orientation displayed to readers.
This came straight from their website. You can go check. I find it perplexing how they find Green Lantern’s homosexuality a display of Sexual Orientation but not Superman’s, Batman’s, or Spiderman’s heterosexuality a display of sexual orientation. I smell something fishy! Oh wait that’s just One Million Moms being biased and taking sides! Had the same argument with JC Penny’s too.
